The goal of the Crisis Counseling Program (CCP) is to assist individuals, families, and communities in recovering from the challenging effects of the catastrophic flooding of the Guadalupe River occurring in the early-morning hours of July 4, 2025. The Crisis Counseling Program Data Specialist will be responsible for implementing and overseeing the CCP data collections. This role will be the point of contact for entering data into the CCP web-based system and use of the mobile application. The Data Specialist will analyze data, collect participants and provide feedback surveys, and report data to improve program activities. This is a federally funded grant position that is temporary and is expected to be funded for a minimum of 6 months, but may be extended depending on funding and need.

You will get to:

- Implements and oversees CCP data collection activities

- Point of contact for entering data into the CCP web-based system or mobile application

- Collects, analyzes, and prepares data

- Collects participant feedback surveys and service provider feedback surveys

- Reports data to CCP Leadership, FEMA, and  HHSC

- Prepares data for presentations

- Provide data analysis and feedback to improve program services

- Trains CCP staff on data collection forms and mobile application

- Works closely with the CCP Program Manager to ensure data is submitted timely and accurately

- Supports the team with any data needs and solves problems and barriers

You'll definitely need:

• Preferred: A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or a related degree.
• Required: A high school diploma
• A valid Texas State Driver's License.
• Current automobile insurance and the ability to travel.

We'll also want you to:

- May present data to leadership, stakeholders, and the community

- Represents the Crisis Counseling Program in the community and networks with other agencies and partners to ensure the needs of survivors are met

- Submits documentation and data timely and accurately by utilizing the appropriate process/method

- Complete FEMA CCP Trainings
