The Learning and Development Coordinator is responsible for providing and modeling excellent customer service with a person-centered thinking approach to all duties and responsibilities. Duties include preparing and conducting computer-based and hands-on classroom training for all Center employees, volunteers, interns, and contractors. The L and D Coordinator will manage the administration and use of the organization's LMS (learning management system). With the L&D team, the Coordinator will ensure that all New Employee (NEO) training courses comply with statutory, contractual, and organizational requirements for new employees.

You will get to:

- Manage the MHDD Learning Management System, ensuring accurate communication, administration, documentation, and reporting of all organizational learning requirements.

- Conduct required staff training for employees, such as Prevention Management of Aggressive Behavior (PMAB), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), First Aid, and Mental Health First Aid

- Maintain certifications and the physical ability to teach all required courses for new employees, including, but not limited to, PMAB, CPR, First Aid, and MHFA

- Notify appropriate supervisors and employees via phone, email, etc., of upcoming training requirements

- Work in coordination with Learning and Development Specialist(s) to schedule all applicable training for employees.

- Schedule and conduct refresher training following all requirements to ensure the competency of employees and meet funding source requirements.

- Document training and maintain training records following established guidelines to have a record of training and ensure training records are up to date.

- Work actively with supervisors, department heads, and other managers to research and implement creative learning opportunities for personnel at all levels within the organization to advance their job-specific skills and to provide them with opportunities to learn other skills and advance their careers.

- Maintain compliance with all Hill Country MHDD policies, safety, and medical standards and procedures

- Maintain compliance with all Texas Administrative Code/HHSC policies and standard procedures

- Travel to work sites across the organization or meet regularly with personnel from other locations via internet mechanisms to gain feedback on the quality and effectiveness of training and assist in developing new training opportunities.

You'll definitely need:

- High School Diploma or GED and at least 4 years of face-to-face adult classroom training experience
- A bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of face-to-face adult classroom training experience (preferred)
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a key LMS user or administrator, with a minimum of 3 years experience delivering in-person and web-based training.
- Must become certified in PMAB, First Aid, and CPR within three months of employment and maintain certification without interruption thereafter.
- Must become certified to train PCRP and MHFA within 12 months of employment and maintain certification without interruption thereafter.
- Must complete 2-day Person Centered Thinking Training within 12 months of employment, and become certified as a trainer when certification is available.
- A valid Texas State Driver's License.
- Current automobile insurance and the ability to travel when necessary.

We can pay you:

$21.00 to $23.00 per hour and benefits
