The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the upkeep, safety, and functionality of all physical facilities within the Hill Country MHDD. This role ensures that the environment remains safe, clean, and conducive to mental health treatment and administrative operations. The coordinator will manage routine maintenance tasks, respond to urgent repair needs, and coordinate with external vendors and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

 Facility Maintenance & Repairs

  • Coordinate and supervise routine maintenance tasks (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.) across all Hill Country MHDD facilities.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies. 
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify safety hazards or needed repairs.
  • Initiate and manage work orders. o Assist with relocation projects as needed.

 Vendor & Contractor Coordination

  • Schedule and oversee work performed by external contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and contract terms. 
  •  Safety & Compliance
  • Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal building codes and health regulations, including OSHA, ADA, fire safety, and all other regulatory standards.
  • Ensure all safety systems (fire alarms, extinguishers, emergency lighting) are operational and inspected regularly.

 Inventory & Supplies

  • Monitor and manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
  • Order necessary materials and maintain organized storage areas.

 Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
  • Prepare reports for leadership on facility status and improvement needs.

 Leadership

  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative leadership to address facility concerns quickly and efficiently.
  • Provide leadership and support to maintenance staff.

 Travel

  • The position will call for light travel in a multi-county area. Approximately 10%.

You'll definitely need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in building maintenance or facilities coordination.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
  • Familiarity with safety and health regulations in Texas healthcare or mental health settings is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working in healthcare or behavioral health environments.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication.
  • Ability to interact professionally with staff, clients, and vendors.

We can pay you:

$23.55 - $26.44 per hour and benefits
