Assistant Clinic Director (Hays County MH Center)

The Assistant Clinic Director works closely with the Clinic Director to ensure that all aspects of the clinic's operations are sound day-to-day. This includes planning for staff shortages, allocating administrative support staff to fill gaps, and, where necessary, providing administrative support and/or direct service to individuals in need. This position requires a credential of QMHP-CS along with completion of crisis training. This position would assist with the on-call rotation as necessary. This position is expected to carry a small caseload in addition to providing supplemental coaching and training to clinic staff to ensure quality services are being provided.
You will get to:
Oversee the training and operation of admin duties, including:
- PAP, demo/financials, scheduling, customer service, payments, CPL reports/bills, gas/mileage logs, VA contract requirements
- Analyze the workflow of admin processes to ensure services are provided in a timely, efficient, and trauma-informed manner
- Complete daily audit reports of scheduled doctor/NP appts. Coordinate scheduling of any needs, with an emphasis on updated demo/financials, ANSA authorizations, and PCRPs
- Oversee facilities maintenance and upkeep. Report all issues to the Facilities Manager at OSC.
- Oversee virtual appointments and maintain effective communication with departments that require virtual services (VA, intake, FasPsych, other telehealth providers)
- Maintain QMHP credential, attain/maintain ANSA/CANS certification, and crisis certification
- Fill in as needed within the limits of the credential
- Model cultural competence, person-centered care, and healthy communication skills, acknowledging person-centered culture toward team members, community partners, and individuals served
- Communicate daily with the director on any issues that impact clinic flow, operations, individuals served, and community partnerships.
- Provide supplemental coaching and training to clinic staff to ensure quality services are being provided.
- Maintain a small caseload of individuals requiring direct services
- Fill in as the primary clinic supervisor if the Clinic Director is unavailable
You'll definitely need:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in social, behavioral, or human services with the ability to be credentialed as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP-CS)
- Two years of experience working in the mental health field or social service field, which includes the delivery of services to individuals with Behavioral Health Disorders
- Maintain a valid Texas state Driver's License and auto insurance
- Complete and maintain both CPR certification and Prevention and Management of Aggressive Behavior training within the first 3 months of employment
