The Pre-Admission Screening and Resident Review (PASRR) Team Lead will act in a supportive, leadership capacity to the PASRR Team by monitoring, tracking, and assigning all PASRR alerts received on the long-term care portal, providing essential training to PASRR team members, and back-up coverage as needed. The PASRR Team Lead will provide support to Hill Country MHDD's 19-county catchment area, which will require frequent, catchment-wide travel. The PASRR Team Lead will be assigned a primary region for PASRR Evaluator coverage.

You will get to:

• Function as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on PASRR program functions, including PASRR Evaluation activities, Habilitation Coordination requirements, and provision of Specialized Services
• Monitor, track, and assign completion of all IDD, MI, and IDD/MI PASRR Evaluation (PE) alerts received on the long-term care portal to PASRR Evaluator and Habilitation Coordinator team members.
• Monitor the long-term care portal daily for various alerts and communicate follow-up items to team members promptly to ensure compliance.
• Provide new hire training, mentoring, coaching, and shadowing opportunities for PASRR Evaluators and Habilitation Coordinators as needed.
• Coordinate and ensure frequent PASRR Team communication, including team meetings, training opportunities, and team collaboration to ensure synergy across the catchment area. Include other team members, as needed, including LIDDA and LMHA staff to improve collaboration and quality service delivery.
• Is primarily responsible for mental illness (MI) PASRR Evaluation coverage in a designated region, subject to change and adjustment to meet demands.
• Provide back-up coverage for PE completion and Habilitation Coordination as needed in instances of vacancy or when otherwise needed.
• Provide training regarding PASRR-related topics to various stakeholder groups.
• Ensure compliance with various LIDDA and LMHA performance contract metrics including timely and appropriate completion of PASRR Evaluations, participation in required IDT/SPT meetings, and referrals for Specialized Services.
• Collaborate with internal team members to assist with accurate and timely billing of PASRR Evaluations.
• Travel frequently across assigned coverage areas in a 19-county catchment area to conduct PASRR Evaluations and attend IDT meetings.

You'll definitely need:

• A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, sociology, special education, rehabilitation, counseling, behavioral or human services to credential as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP-CS) and at least one-year direct experience working with people who have intellectual or developmental disabilities to credential as a Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP), and a Habilitation Coordinator.

• Maintain a valid Texas state Driver's License and auto insurance.
• Complete and maintain both CPR certification and Prevention and Management of Aggressive Behavior training within the first 3 months of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two years working in the PASRR program as either a QIDP or QMHP
• Bilingual; English/Spanish
