Purpose

At Hill Country MHDD Centers our purpose is to help people have positive control over the life they desire and who are valued for their contributions to their communities. We provide services for adult and child behavioral health, intellectual and developmental disabilities, substance abuse, crisis care, and justice involved services. Our goal is to focus on each person and help them create the life they want to live.

We serve individuals throughout 19 counties of the greater Texas Hill Country region which includes: Bandera, Blanco, Comal, Edwards, Gillespie, Hays, Kendall, Kerr, Kimble, Kinney, Llano, Mason, Medina, Menard, Real, Schleicher, Sutton, Uvalde and Val Verde. With 22 locations including 15 Mental Health Clinics we serve approximately 816,000 in a 22,714 square mile area

The Office Coordinator, under direction of the Regional Director of Service Coordination, is responsible for overall administrative duties of the LIDDA office site. Office Coordination is a customer focused and customer driven position requiring a highly motivated and compassionate can-do attitude.



The Learning and Development (L&D) Specialist, under the supervision of the Training and Development Coordinator, implements and manages training programs, LMS, and program effectiveness. Key responsibilities include supporting curriculum, delivering training, and tracking compliance, requiring strong person-centered skills and communication skills.


The Crisis Care Coordinator will provide comprehensive care, from intervention to continuity of care, to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis, in the county clinic as well as surrounding counties within the HCMHDDC catchment. These services may be performed virtually or in-person, in the community, jail, mental health clinic, and/or other locations for adults and children as mental health calls or referrals are received.


The Community Transportation Driver position is responsible for providing safe and reliable transportation for clients to and from the mental health clinic, appointments in the community, and related services. The driver will operate and maintain an assigned agency vehicle, adhering to agency policy and procedure in the vehicle’s operation and maintenance.

The Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialists (PRSS) are an integral part of the Substance Use Services (SUS) team as the bridge that connects program participants and the clinical staff. Under the leadership of the SUS Program Director, the PRSS provides opportunities for individuals referred to and participating in directing their own recovery process (self-determination) and acts as an advocate for persons served.


The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) will directly support one of our physicians by collecting vital signs, documenting medical histories, and detailing an individual's physical and mental status and needs. The CMA will coordinate and maintain medical, discharge, and authorization records while maintaining HIPAA compliance and confidentiality. This compassionate, caring, and supportive team member will connect with individuals to provide optimum healthcare and contribute to the overall well-being of members of the community living with mental health challenges.
