Purpose

At Hill Country MHDD Centers our purpose is to help people have positive control over the life they desire and who are valued for their contributions to their communities. We provide services for adult and child behavioral health, intellectual and developmental disabilities, substance abuse, crisis care, and justice involved services. Our goal is to focus on each person and help them create the life they want to live.

We serve individuals throughout 19 counties of the greater Texas Hill Country region which includes: Bandera, Blanco, Comal, Edwards, Gillespie, Hays, Kendall, Kerr, Kimble, Kinney, Llano, Mason, Medina, Menard, Real, Schleicher, Sutton, Uvalde and Val Verde. With 22 locations including 15 Mental Health Clinics we serve approximately 816,000 in a 22,714 square mile area

The Jail Care Coordinator embedded within the Kimble and Menard County Jail is a dedicated individual in the Mental Health Grant Program for Justice-Involved Individuals (MHGJII). In this role, you will provide crisis intervention services as needed along with providing planning and case management for inmates with mental health and/or substance use condition who are eligible for pre and post release from the jail.

The Military Veteran Peer Network Coordinator (MVPN) is responsible for enhancing access to resources and services provided by the Military Veteran Peer Network Peers. MVPN peers provide direct peer services to Service Members, Veterans, and their Families. The services include outreach to military veterans and families to develop trusted peer relationships. The relationships are built on shared life experiences. The experiences include developing skills useful in adapting to military-affected trauma. This position will collaborate with veteran services, organizations, and individuals to identify and expand services. This position is responsible for coordinating training and peer volunteer recruitment, while also providing direction and support to MVPN Peer Volunteers. Works closely with the community Veteran Service Officer (VSO) and other community stakeholders to develop and continue the mission of the Military Veteran Peer Network Program.

Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) of Co-occurring Psychiatric and Substance Use Disorder (COPSD). The LCDC is responsible for providing services and support to individuals with co-occurring needs to assist the individual in reaching their vision of recovery. The LCDC will assess the individual's strength and needs and in collaboration with the individual develop a person-centered recovery plan. Services are targeted to deter the need for crisis that results in emergency placement in Medical or Behavioral Health Facilities or in the Court and Jail system. The LCDC is responsible for scheduling and carrying out individual and group services and case management. LCDC may also provide services as an Outpatient Counselor under the guidelines described in the DSHS/HHSC Program Requirements.


The Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) is an integral part of the Substance Use Services (SUS) team as the bridge that connects program participants and the clinical staff. Under the leadership of the SUS Program Director, the PRSS provides opportunities for individuals referred to and participating in outpatient substance use services to direct their own recovery process (self-determination) and act as an advocate for persons served.


Under the direction of the Director of Peer Support Services, the Peer Support Specialist provides individual and group peer support services to individuals in need of behavioral health supports. Supports include assistance with more effectively utilizing the service delivery system, understanding and coping with stressors along with coaching, and mentoring of the individuals served through peer support. 


The Receptionist will support counselors, physicians, staff, and individuals in the Mental Health Center Clinic. This person will work with the Office Coordinator to cover in person customer services of reception area and all telephone traffic including receiving and routing phone calls and messages appropriately. 


This position will engage high-need youth and their families in developing, implementing, and monitoring an intensive, individualized plan of care. This position helps the youth and families to identify a support team who will collaboratively design a plan based upon family needs, strengths, and goals. The Wraparound Facilitator will support the team as they implement the plan and monitor its success. This position will require some early evenings. The position must have flexible scheduling and travel is required.

The Community Transportation Driver (CTD) will provide safe transport of individuals to various health and community appointments. The CTD will provide documentation in compliance with HCMHDD standards and support individuals with a high level of customer service. This compassionate, caring, and supportive team member will contribute to the independence and improved state of well-being for individuals living with a disability.

As a Helpdesk Technician reporting to the IT support manager, your primary responsibility is to provide technical support for end users involving hardware, software, and basic network related issues while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. You will perform basic hardware and software installation.
