The
Mental Health Crisis Care Coordinator with the Mental Health Mobile Crisis Outreach
Team (MCOT) will provide crisis intervention, prevention, and postvention
services to individuals experiencing a mental/behavioral health crisis in Kerr County. They will assess needs, develop treatment plans, and effectively
collaborate with individuals and their family members. The MCOT Care Coordinator
will assess strengths and needs and, in collaboration with the individual,
develop a person-centered recovery plan. The Crisis Care Coordinator will
provide skills training, crisis prevention/management, linkage, and referral to
support goal progress for children and families living with mental health
challenges. This compassionate, caring, and supportive team member will
contribute to the skills improvement, achievements, and overall potential
success of a child and their state of well-being.
You will get to:
- Assess individual needs and collaborate
with people to develop and execute effective recovery and life
- management plans.
- Provide relevant skills training to improve
daily life.
- Collaborate with service providers and
agencies to be a liaison for effective care and positive outcomes.
- Collaborate with, and provide outreach
to, community partners, organizations, and stakeholders.
- Maintain compliance with all legal
requirements and company policies and procedures.
- Consistently meet with individuals to
maintain progress as well as compliance.
- Work alongside law enforcement and
emergency medical personnel
You'll
definitely need:
- At least one year of experience
implementing the Needs and Strengths Assessments (CANS/ANSA) or the
- Texas Resilience and Recovery Model for
Adults or Children (TRR guidelines).
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited
college or university in psychology, sociology, behavioral or
- human services, or a related degree.
- A valid Texas State Driver's License.
- Current automobile insurance and the
ability to travel to individuals when necessary.
We'll also want you to:
- Be available to manage crisis situations as they occur, sometimes in off-scheduled hours.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to mental
health crisis situations, up to twice weekly. Weekend
rotations on Sundays.
- Employ excellent verbal and written communication skills
to engage and report effectively.
- Maintain a well-organized schedule while allowing room
for flexibility and adjustments.
- Maintain accurate and timely collaborative documentation.
- Sustain a calm demeanor when under pressure to meet
deadlines and handle sometimes difficult
- situations.
- Provide exemplary customer service and care to
individuals with their best interests at heart.
- Work autonomously to complete assignments within company
and state parameters with a high level of quality.
- Must become certified in PMAB, First Aid, and CPR within three months of employment and maintain certification without interruption thereafter.
- Document, maintain, analyze, and report
data using Google Docs, Excel, and Microsoft TEAMS

We can pay you:
$22.78 to $27.16 per hour, benefits, and incentives for on-call
